Ha Long Bay became a special stop for the Russian
military delegation after the September 2 parade in
Hanoi. The soldiers swam in the sea and took a cruise to
visit the bay.
A delegation of soldiers from the 154th Preobrazhensky
Regiment (Russian Federation) arrived in Quang Ninh to
visit Ha Long Bay after the parade to celebrate the 80th
anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on
September 2 in Hanoi.
The group arrived in Ha Long at 10:00 and left at 14:00
the same day. They took a cruise, visiting Ha Long Bay
on route 2 (Ha Long Port - Sung Sot Cave - Luon Cave -
Ti Top Island - Port), in which the group stopped to
swim and visit Ti Top Island.
The appearance of the Russian military in civilian
clothes attracted attention, and many domestic and
foreign tourists expressed their excitement when they
saw the group after the parade.
The representative of the cruise ship serving the group
said he felt "both honored and pressured" to welcome
this special group of guests.
"We want to bring the best experience to promote the
image of Ha Long and Vietnam. The ship has a capacity of
99 seats and has welcomed many high-ranking guests, but
today's trip has a very special meaning," the cruise
representative said.
On the social media, some Russian soldiers posted photos
and videos of their experiences in Ha Long, quickly
attracting the attention of Vietnamese netizens.
Among them, Maks Galkin - a soldier who attracted much
attention thanks to his gentle smile and handsome
appearance at the parade - shared a moment of enjoying
Ha Long Bay with his teammates.
A day earlier, Russian military commander Anton
Mikhailov also posted an article expressing his
happiness after the parade in Hanoi.
He affirmed that the Russian soldiers brought back to
their country not only souvenirs and photos, but also a
part of the soul and warmth of the Vietnamese people.
"I will always remember your smiles, your kindness, your
hospitality," he wrote.
The Russian military delegation from the 33rd Guards of
the 154th Preobrazhensky Regiment, an honorary unit that
serves in state ceremonies, arrived in Vietnam on August
20 at the invitation of the Ministry of Defense. This
force brings together elite soldiers from many regions
of Russia.
During the parade in Hanoi, they impressed with their
tall appearance, calm demeanor and friendly waves to the
Vietnamese people.
During the National Day holiday (August 30 - September
2), Quang Ninh welcomed nearly 340,000 visitors,
including 65,000 international visitors. Ha Long Bay
alone recorded more than 17,000 visits, continuously
welcoming special international delegations.
On September 2, a group of American millionaires
traveling by seaplane from Hanoi landed in Van Don,
visiting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. Previously, in
February, two American businessmen, Jeff Grinspoon and
Jon Thomas Foley, also chose this place as a vacation
spot.
