Day 1: Hanoi – Cat Ba island – Ha Long bay – Lan Ha bay

AM: Boating to View Ha Long bay from its back side in the Less travelled atmosphere 07:45 – 08:20 pick up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area or in front of Hanoi Opera House.

@ If you stay at a hotel/place in Halong city or anywherele, please let us know.

  • Leave Hanoi for Hai Phong city on the free-way AH 5B enjoying the peaceful landscape of rice field of the Red river Delta. Enjoy driving on the longest sea passing bridge of Vietnam of which front is Cat Ba Island – Huge mountain scene and green mangroves.

  • 20 minutes on the ferry to Cat Ba island where you will feel your enjoyment coming by green mangroves running along the mountain feet. After that is the coastal road for amazing views to the bay and the valley shadowed paths through the National Park for more authentic Nature on the route down to the other side of the Park called  Gia Luan dock where you can view Ha Long bay, the dock for fishing sampans and here we will boat Unicharm Cruise.

  • 12:30 UniCharm crew warmly welcome you on board. Visit the boat and check in the room and lunch on boat (We can cater Vegetarian or vegan food on your request).

  • Enjoying the first fresh seafood lunch and cruising among the bay from the back of Ha Long bay– Tuan Chau island to Cap Bai Islet and then Ngon Tay Island (Finger Islet) where you can view the universal seascape of Ha Long bay World Heritage such as Sung Sot cave and Titop Island.

  • On the hidden route for different views of the bay, pass by Ao Ech lagoon (Frog Lagoon) to Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches). We start discovering the most beautiful and peaceful bay called Lan Ha bay, the bay with crystal water and round lagoons and the Hon Dua (the Stick Islet). The bay is the additional part of the Wonder of Ha Long bay and the World Biosphere reserved area.

PM: Kayaking – Snorkeling to Open the Hidden Charm and Feel how Unique is

  • Discover the additional part of the Wonder of Ha Long bay and the World Biosphere reserved area by kayaking and snorkeling.

  • On each 2-seat kayak we will paddle through narrow lanes of the karst mountains to visit fishing villages, call on some local fishing families to get to learn moreabout the daily life of the local fisherman.

  • Paddle to a stunning lagoon with tunnel grotto (depend on the tide, we may not be able to reach). Here we will dip into the emerald waters. Swimming and Snorkeling to see Corals are our highlights of this day. You can also reach some secluded beaches for a while relaxing lying on sand…

  • Back to the boat for “cooking class” (our tour guide will show you how to make some famous Vietnamese traditional dishes that you can easily demonstrate home for your family after this trip).

  • Enjoy dinner and overnight on the lovely peaceful bay once on your lifetime.
Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Viet Hai village – Ha Long bay – Hanoi

AM: Biking to visit Viet Hai village and explore Cat Ba National Park

  • 07:00 Wake up among the smooth waves and karst mountains and fishing villages.

  • Energize by some fresh fruits, smoothies and cakes…

  • 07:30 Tender ship to Cat Ba island, reach Viet Hai dock for a bicycle trip to Viet Hai village. Riding a bike for 30 minutes on the shadowed paths, enjoying the landscape on the way to the village located in a beautiful valley of the National Park of Cat Ba. Visit some local houses to get to know about the local people as well as their daily life of work or visit the island school…

  • Afterward cycling back to UniCharm Cruise.

  • Relaxing on board or swimming in the bay or breathing nature on the sundeck

  • 10:00 start cruising pass by the fishing villages and thousands of limestone islands and islets, taking precious Uni pictures and meanwhile enjoying our tasteful brunch.

  • 12:00 arrive back Gia Luan dock.

PM: Driving back to Hanoi

  • 12:00 – 12:30 Disembark UniCharm Cruise for another drive on the free-way AH5B back to Hanoi.

  • Estimated to arrive back in Hanoi at 16:00 – 16:30 – end the tour at your hotel.

For individual guests or group of guests with number of person lower than 6:

  • If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged
  • If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of total will be charged
  • If cancelled before 1 days or No – Show, the total of reservation will be full charged

For group of guest with number of person larger than 6:

  • If cancelled up to 10 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged
  • If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of total will be charged
  • Later or No – Show, the total of reservation will be full charged

For group of guest whose charters the boat

  • If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged
  • If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of total will be charged

Booked a cruise through this agent and the cruise experience was beautiful. The sightseeing tours were exciting. Photos do not do this place justice. It is absolutely stunning. Everywhere you go the views are amazing. The sunsets and sunrise are perfect. Get your camera ready as this place is beautiful..

The name halong came from the legend that a dragon landed on this bay. The view is wonderful. Each one of scattered islands gave me wonderful photos. My trip was just a day trip and I think it is too short. Spend at least one night. Yes photos of ha long bay are stunning, but you will be more stunned if you actually go there and see them with your own eyes..

The views of the limestone islands in the Bay are stunning, especially if the weather cooperates. Strongly encourage one night on one of the many boats that ply the bay to allow for a less hurried itinerary and the very pleasant experiences of sunrise and sunset views. The boats are highly regulated and must stick to designated areas, but they are enough for lots of enjoyment. Various stops at caves, lookouts, kayaking, and small beach. Very good food on board our cruise with A-Class Stellar Cruises! Cabin was much cleaner and more "luxurious" than I expected..

2 night 3 day cruise with v spirit, highly recommend, magic site even though we didn't go far into the bay. Lots of other boats at times added and detracted from the experience. Highly recommebd taking the extra night. Be careful who you go with as we heard some horro stories. Recommend v spirit great people, great service and food..

Just go and enjoy.. We stayed in a local boat Signagture over night so had a great opportunity to spend time just looking at the stunning scenery.. we also went canoeing to see some hidden away caves..

Halong Bay has been a dream of mine to visit for so long. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I could never get tired of the views! The colours and layers of all the cliffs and mountains are spectacular. Just make sure you find the right cruise - ours was overpriced and not worth it so do your research first! Also don't be surprised that there are a large number of boats around at night as they all park up together, but during the day we seemed to be on our own quite a lot. I think in the future this place won't be so nice as there is already so much rubbish floating around that it will continue to accumulate. Save this place by not littering and taking any rubbish back with you that you can..

This area has been a World Heritage Place among seven wonders of nature since 1994. What a beautiful spot on earth. A Halong Bay with its breathtaking beauty was undeniable and it is the most popular site to visit in Hanoi. There are many other things to do pay on the bay as well, like caving many many caves to choose from. Very helpful and informative and fun as well. If by overnight cruise, you can kayak by yourself to discover the bay, the cave more exciting..
